Using a DBA to sign up for KDP

Hi everyone, much appreciation in advance for anyone who has any insight on this.

I've tried to contact KDP help but it won't let me unless I sign in and that's where my hang up is - account creation.

I function under an LLC with a DBA. I have a separate EIN. I assume I should be able to sign up for a KDP account using my DBA vs. my legal name but I wanted to be sure. I'm not trying to have my account flagged and shut down at the starting line.

Does anyone else have any experience with using a DBA vs. legal name to sign up for KDP? I searched forums and found a thread from 5 years ago, but I'm positive KDP has updated policies and such since then, and I consider the information I saw basically ancient.

Thank you in advance!

You can get an account under your LLC, but it follows the same rules as an account done under a legal name. You can only have one account. For more information, use the Contact Us link at KDP. Better yet, read the Help link first, then ask KDP for clarification.

Right. I was already clear on these points.

Unfortunately, it seems that you can not contact KDP unless you have an account (I kept getting asked to sign in), and the starting of the account was the issue. I wasn't sure whether I could use my DBA for my LLC in place of my legal name and I didn't want to start off on the wrong foot. Also, help links do not make any of this clear, which is why I ended up here.

But thank you for you for taking the time to respond.
I have my account under my name but the tax information is all under my LLC. Works fine.
