vacation help needed.

Changing flights is such a hassle!  I'd also ask for a credit since you need to get a hotel room in LV if you take the option where you don't change any flights.

actually changing flights isn't a hassle since it's 2 months away, but it will be more expensive. i can't really see asking the tour company for a credit since i didn't book the flights with them. or else they would be responsible for changing them.

Sorry for being dense, but which departure date have they changed?  To Denver or from LV to home?

I would probably opt for no flight changes, cancel your pre-tour extra night and book an extra night in LV which will likely be less expensive than a flight change.  I bet you will be able to extend your same room and not have to switch rooms or hotel.

I agree with Chris. have an extra night in Vegas. There are TONS of things to do in Vegas, you will not be bored.. Hey there's even a chocolate factory! Ethel M. Chocolate Factory & Botanical Gardens. Although this time of year I wouldn't wander the OUTDOOR gardens for very long.. but the tour of the chocolate factory is interesting (and last I knew, freeeeee). The 2nd floor of Circus Circus casino/hotel has free circus acts every 15 minutes. On the Strip, the M&M museum is 4 floors of M&M goodness (and there's a M&M movie on the 3rd floor.. now playing "I Lost My 'M' in Las Vegas" (also free..)

I say go for the extra night in LV. You will probably end up paying more than the extra night hotel will cost you in flight changes. You can go to an extra show or something!

Sorry I wasn't clear!  I voted for you to spend an extra night in LV and ask for the credit towards the hotel room since you have to spend the extra night you weren't counting on. 

If I am remembering correctly you were already staying an extra night in Vegas to  met a friend and those plans fell through....now another extra day?

I am always very homesick by the last day of any trip and anxious to get home....You may just want to go back to the original plan and leave for New York as soon as the tour is over....

they've moved everything up one day, so the plane to and from would have to be changed.

I added two days on to the LV end for my own fun, my friend coming down was just a bonus. And if I cancel the extra nights, I still have to change the flight home.

I've locked the voting, since I've made my decision...

I accepted the date change and will change my flights.
