I have a video created using VLC software.  It has file format .ps  Trying to make it play on Kindle.  Am sure it must be converted to M4V.  But how?  Wish I could attach it to this message.

Video is NOT going to play on an eInk kindle.  The screen refresh just isn't suited.

If you're looking to play it on the FIRE, however, the key, I suppose, is to have it in a proper format.  You might ask here in the Fire Talk board, or maybe over at MobileRead where a lot more techie types hang out.

A good free program to convert video to another format is Handbrake. Only download it from the official website: http://www.handbrake.fr. Anywhere else and it is probably infected with malware.

I really like to use DVD Catalyst to convert video for my tablet. It isn't free, but it only costs $9.99. http://www.tools4movies.com/

DVD Catalyst is easier to use, but both will give you the same end result. (As already mentioned, this would be for the Kindle Fire models.)
