After viewing with great jealousy Kate Danley's post about Hugh being in L.A., I just had to drive to Seattle to try to top that.

Hugh spoke at a venue near the Elliot Bay Book Company. He's a great guy, very real, down to earth, and is just how he comes across in this board. For all his success, he genuinely believes in helping other authors, and he does so in many ways, including through his interaction with our community here. And, to my delight, he gave a nice shout-out to our forum at the book event. Thanks, Hugh.

Bigger news, though... I asked him to give me as big a hug as he gave Kate Danley... and he obliged. That moment was not caught on camera, though.

I got back from Seattle late last night and then left again for Seattle at 5am. One of our bi-weekly trips. Not feeling too bad after this one, though. On our way home.
