We have a whole MP3 thread up in Lets talk Kindle forum here. Free songs/albums come up periodically. The autorip isn't exactly free, I mean you have to have bought the CDs from Amazon to start with, but it is nice to have the mp3 versions without having to upload your cd yourself. But Amazon has deals and specials on MP3s fairly often/daily, and periodically they do free ones too.
We Know about free books on Amazon ... but did you know about free MP3 music?

I'm sure there are more pages in the music side of Amazon's business (thinking the paid and free columns like we're used to seeing for books).
I was in the music area since I saw some email from Amazon a week back that if you bought any CDs you could download the already ripped MP3 from them so I could 'listen while I type'.

Makes me think I should keep testing my book audio conversion ("author read", Audacity recorded and modified and "improved") and hunt for distribution options over there.
