I'm not sure how he calculated it, but I've tried that calculation before using the total # of Kindle books out there as the denom. Last I heard, it was around 850K, right? By that token, top 2% would be 17,000, and top 1% would be 8,500. It's a bit more meaningful statistic to quote to the average non-Kindle-ranking-insider (like your Mom or the guy sitting next to you on the plane).Terrence OBrien said:I'm always looking for data sources, and I'm not challenging your figures.
