When do sales update?

Do sales automatically update to my dashboard as soon as they happen? I know we have to wait hours for sales rankings to catch up, but I wondered about sales. Thanks!

Okay, so the graph updates about every 15 minutes. The Month-To-Date ... it depends. Sales are added to MTD when the payment is processed (and clears). Sales rank shows up about 5 hours after the MTD.

Sales rank also jumps when someone borrows your book, but it doesn't show up on the graph and MTD until the reader reaches the 10% mark.

Thanks so much SevenDays! Is this always the case? Because my graph shows fewer sales than I have. I've seen three copies of my book on kindles (thanks to pictures) but my graph is only showing two....

I'm not sure, to be honest. We've had a few people mention some really wonky reporting the past few days. I haven't personally experienced it, that I know of, but others definitely have (Joe Nobody springs to mind).

Yeah, mine hasn't updated all day. Either I've suddenly dropped off entirely, or Amazon is being slow again.

My Kindle Worlds story's been up for over 24 hours and I see no sales reporting or royalty reporting at all. Where am I supposed to find it?

Have you looked under reports on your kdp dashboard?

I will check that! I was confused because my KW dashboard said to look for it on my Author Central, but there's nothing there.

Okay. just FYI - I have "no published titles" ay KDP, I guess because my book is Kindle WORLDS. The KW dashboard is also unhelpful

Yes, I've been noticing the same thing. Either Amazon is all off kilter, or Google Play is really hopping today... ::)

I need to stop checking my sales dashboard so often.
