When will the word "Author" appear next to my name?

KindleBoards does not place the word "Author" next to anyone's name. The people with it next to their name make it say that.

And Kindleboards has nothing to do with KDP or Amazon... we're just Kindle lovers...and we have a place for authors/readers to hang out together.

I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen automatically.
I've been on here since February and I'm just called literarygrrrl.

I think the people who have their name like this: "so&so, author" have called themselves that.

I believe that the OP was just confused about how some people have their names like this:

"Ryne Billings, Author"

Only if you think no one will figure it out any other way.

Usually if you have a book cover in your signature people already assume you're an author. But if you want you can go into your profile and put a line of text under your avatar. That's how I got mine to say, "Author, Cover Designer, and Animal Lover". Or words to that effect.
