Yet another cover-choice thread ...

Here are the choices:

Which is better?

Note that I removed the subtitle. I figure it's not that important since Amazon displays it. Do you agree?

Thanks!

2nd one all the way

I'd say the second one as well. The type in the first one gets lost in the stars.
I like the first one, but think the second would stand out more as a thumbnail.

My thoughts exactly. :)

Ditto
I'm not really digging that field of stars. But between the two I pick the second.
The second one - could you put the tagline in the bottom right-hand corner?
The second one seems more pronounced and visual. I kind of like the overlay of the picture on the words as well, as it just feels more professional even though it's such an easy process to do these days.

I like the second one better, but is there anyway not to obscure the title?
1st one. Second is too big.

I definitely prefer the second - with the tag added in the corner.
Thanks for the help. It's almost unanimous, and I like the second one also.

The votes are going the other way on RateBookCover.com. Oh, well.

Yeah, that just happened by mistake, and I thought "Hey, that's neat."
oh definitely the second one, love the impact of it ;D
I prefer the effects on the font from the first, with the size of the second, and a lighter version of that subtitle somewhere as well. But that's just me. :)
The first one might work if you make your author name larger.  It looks too small as it is.
The second one is better than the first, but honestly neither are that great. The typography could be sharpened up, and the image is a little dark.

Safer to have the subtitle on the cover! Technically, in Amazon's eyes, if it's not on the cover, it shouldn't be there in the listing. I know a squillion people do it anyway, but sometimes Amazon will send nasty emails to people who do this.
