So, my experience with Mailchimp was a disaster. From the point they re-designed their interface, I couldn't work out how to do anything. They are now saying my account is no longer accessible, and I can't even get a reply to my messages.

It looks as if I will have to re-build from the ground up. Who would you recommend?

I use Mailchimp, though I agree it hasn't changed for the better. I'm also interested in knowing which is best. Let's see what the others say.

A lot use MailerLite. It's cheaper than MailChimp. There are even cheaper alternatives that are very good, but you need to be somewhat technically minded to be able to work with them.

Search the forum for MailerLite. You'll get a ton of info.

I've seen people say good things about these two, but I don't have any experience with them personally. In a previous thread once, I seem to recall somebody was extolling the virtues of the SendinBlue one.

I think emailoctopus may be ideal for me. It looks simple, is free for up to 2,500 subscribers and has a good reputation for support. And it's based here in the UK!

After trying Aweber, Mailchimp and Mailerlite, I fell in love with Sendfox. Tech support is amazing and their interface is easy to navigate. They don't have those stupid tiers that make you pay more for basic functions. They have a free option for 1000 contacts, but they also have a lifetime plan that's perfect for anyone on a budget. I also liked them because I found their deliverability to be better than Aweber. They don't have a lot of bells and whistles, but they do have the fundamentals.
