When I am at my desktop computer and purchase a book on it, the book goes directly to my old Kindle 2 instead of my new Kindle 3.  I've read through the FAQ section and can't find a way to set my preferences to send items to my new device by default.

Thanks Ann  :)  Yep, I had to use the drop down box to get it to my new kindle.  However you're saying that I can rename my new Kindle to something different so that it appears first alphabetically?  This will guarantee future purchases will go directly to the new device?

I could rename them to "New Kindle" and "Old Kindle" and books will go to "New" since it comes first before "Old"?  If I ever get a 3rd Kindle, I could rename the original "Real Old Kindle".

You can name any kindle anything at any time.  You do it on the Manage Your Kindle page.  While many just leave the Amazon default name "Joe/Jane's (2nd/3rd/etc) Kindle" a lot of people give it a more interesting name.  Or maybe just more descriptive.
