Will Create Space know I have an Ebook on the Zon?

Hi everyone,

I have a dumb question moment now so bear with me.  I just finished uploading my book on Create Space and the only task that shows it being incomplete is publishing an ebook version via KDP.  I didn't see anywhere on that particular page where I could inform CS that I already have my book out in ebook format.  When the book is ready to be listed will CS know to attach it to my Amazon ebook page or what?

I would like to assume that the answer is yes, but the big fat red circle with the white dash inside is bothering me and I'm simply too big of a noob to know better.

Any feedback on what I'm missing (if anything) would help me sleep better.  The CS format is in the 24 hour 'review' process as of tonight and the ebook went live over the weekend.

Thanks!

Yes, so long as your titles are exactly the same.

It can take a week or so for them to merge the sales pages.
The "Publish on Kindle" option will always be shown as incomplete on the CS dashboard, so don't worry about that. As for them being linked on Amazon, it's really random. I've had books linked after a few days and other books that won't get linked a month later. The best way to be sure is to send Amazon an email and let them know you want them linked.
I've found that both amazon and createspace support are very good about responding to support requests. They don't always get it right the first time, but they won't just drop you if you come back with a request for clarification.
So far they have linked both my books the same day that the POD version was available on Amazon.  The titles and author names were identical in both versions - including any subtitle - and they linked them immediately.

I'm not sure if my books were flukes or not, but it was literally the same day the print version went live.

You're lucky. After over a month of waiting for them to link some of my books, I finally just emailed Amazon and then they did it.
Hi everyone!

Thanks for the responses!  I'll post here on how long my 'linking' takes for others who may have the same question.  Right now I did another noobie mistake and forgot to update the CS ISBN number on the interior of my book so I had to change that and reload it and now it goes back to the 24 hour review status again :(

Ah well, first time for everything eh?

Stay thirsty my friends!
