Does anyone know if this product has the inside pockets to allow me to slip the amazon kindle 2 cover into it?

would like antique look with a minimum of 'crafting'

It is a beautiful design. I would worry about how well protected the screen would be without the addition of some inside lining and padding. I also am not sure how the Kindle would attach, but perhaps those more crafty than I have ideas.

essentially what I want to do is place the amazon leather cover inside this one... like putting a comic book inside my physics text book... the lining on the inside of that case should be fine for the screen... i just want the exterior to look like the journal cover..

It's very nice looking but I don't think it's tall enough. The K2 is 8.5 inches tall. this journal is only 8 inches tall.

No the Kindle is 8 inches tall not 8.5; but it still might not work since both the journal you are looking at & the reader are the same size. For example: the Oberon K2 cover is 8.5 inches and the Journal is 9 inches in length.

Find out their return policy since they did not post a picture of the inside. Most things that are sold on Amazon are usually returnable.

I'm sorry your right I was thinking about the Oberon cover being 6X8.5 sorry about that it's all running together

As pretty as that is, I honestly wouldn't go with anything shorter than 8.5".  The Oberon K2 cover has enough room around the edges that if dropped (while the bungee holds it closed), there's a reasonable chance you're not going to bash the edges of the K2.  Anything smaller, and the edges of the device are too close to the edges of the cover, leaving them exposed to potential damage.

Just my .02 worth--I'm generally pretty klutzy though.

It is nice, but the height may be a problem. You don't want any of the Kindle not protected.
