Back in mid-November I ordered two replacement batteries for my K & hubby's K. I checked my account on Amazon this evening & they shipped on March 21st! That wasn't too long a wait, was it???  :D Seriously, I wonder what the deal is with getting these batteries? I mean, they were able to come up with all the batteries that they put in the K1's that they shipped out new. Where did they get them from??

My guess...because Amazon no longer manufactures the K1s, they aren't stocking the batteries, but when they have a reasonable amount of orders for them, they order a batch. Also, if it is under a year and your battery dies, it is still under warranty, you can call CS and have it replaced. They should last more than a year so it would fall under defective, I think... ;)
Oh, I hope you are wrong. No offense to you; I hope you know that. But part & parcel with the K1 was it having a replaceable battery. Just because Amazon decided to come out with the K2 doesn't mean all the K1's simply vanished from the earth. I feel they have a responsibility to have those batteries available for their product as long as those products are out there & still working.

I ordered my battery from Amazon on Feb.10th,and got the same email as many of you asking if I wanted to keep waiting and I originally said yes. There are quite a few members here that have ordered from Ebay or Adorama, and the batteries are exactly the same........so I tried Adorama,it was cheaper (free shipping) and here in less than a week. www.adorama.com sku number LRERDA 100 if you're interested.
