You can buy books (and samples) and they will be on your Kindle when it arrives - hopefully someone who's done this will also post, since I'm not sure if there are some time parameters involved (i.e., once you get a shipping date until the K ships, etc.). I didn't do this - but I've read in Leslie's book that you can. I wrote to Amazon to ask them why there isn't an "Add to My Wish List" button on Kindle books - the answer, as I recall, was that you can download samples, so you don't need to put K-books on your wish list. Which is great if you live in an area with Whispernet access, but I don't. I often read a review of a new book and prefer to go ahead and add it to my wish list, even though I'm not looking for a new book today ... so it's something I like to use all the time.VMars said:There is no way to make a "wishlist" of Kindle books on amazon, is there? It would give me something Kindle-esque to do while I wait for my Kindle 2 to arrive.
It doesn't stop at 10. It only shows the last 10 you've sent. I had more than 30 samples when my K1 arrived. I've already started sending stuff to Bella (I want her to feel loved right away)VMars said:Thanks guys! That button worked!
And I did send myself samples already, but I think it stopped at ten....and I wanted more. Hee.
Counting my ebooks before they've hatched...err...downloaded.
That's handy - thanks for mentioning it! MDH is reluctant to let me put the Universal Wishlist button on his computer, but now he can use this to add his own books to a wish list. I'd not thought about creating more than one wishlist but, after reading this thread, I think I'll create one for him. We're finding lots of books we might like to read at some point - now that we get the NYTimes on KindleDangerosa said:I add Kindle books to my Wishlist by clicking on the yellow star rating under the book's title. Thanks, learn something new every day.Dangerosa said:I add Kindle books to my Wishlist by clicking on the yellow star rating under the book's title. The next page it takes you to will have an Add to Wishlist button.
If it is a book that has no ratings yet (thus no stars to click on), I add it using the Universal Wishlist button.
