I just received some money in the form of a christmas present from my dad. I am considering buying a wood lathe! Anyone here with any sort of experience who might be able to suggest me a good beginner wood lathe? My budget is around $500.
I think you might like Delta 46-460 which is a great lathe from a well-known brand that's been in the game for a long while. It provides great power and is a really stable machine. And the best part is that it's ideal for novice woodworkers. It falls under the midi lathe category. Other brands offering similar products are PSI and Shop Fox in the same price bracket or even less. But I'd suggest going with delta based on personal experience.
