Yesterday I sent a e-mail to the Penguin Group. I asked them about getting their books into Kindle format. Here is their response plus some other info about them that you might find interesting.

Dear Tonia,

Thank you for your inquiry regarding the availability of Penguin Group (USA) Inc. books in digital format.

We are currently involved in the massive effort of converting as many new and back list titles to ebook format as we can; however, there are many challenges inherent in the process of setting up the ebook business. We do hope to provide our customers with every title that they wish to see in electronic format; however, we are not able to specify when each and every one of them will be made available.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

This is the e-mail address that I used in case anyone else wants to write them.

I saw several Penguin classics in Kindle format today.  Was this email to encourage them to put more of their library in the Kindle format?

Yes, it was.  I am a fan of Catherine Coulter's FBI series.  Her latest book came out in July, however it has yet to be released for Kindle. I also found some books that I would like for Kindle but have not been put in Kindle form.  They quickly got back to me and I found this encouraging.
