Did anyone watch America's Got Talent last night?  Wow!  The guy jumping into the baby pool from 26 feet up was amazing!

How in the world do you think he did that without killing himself?
I think I saw him on some special on the History channel called Stan Lee's Superhumans.  The guy jumped from even higher into a kid's pool.  I am not sure how he does it, but it's crazy.  I just don't know how you get a whole act for Las Vegas out of one stunt like that, though.
Did you notice what looked like a foam mattress wrapped in black plastic under the pool? Still, he's crazy-awesome.

I liked the kid who sashayed out onto the stage and then blew me away with his voice. Is this the first time they've shown a contestant who thought he was all that and actually was? Usually when they say they're awesome, they're deluded. But this kid, wow. Daniel something, I think.
I saw a guy on the program "Superhuman" -- or whatever they call the program where the guy goes around interviewing people who claim to be Super -- jump from a platform outside. I can't remember how high it was, but it looked about 50 feet.

I didn't see it but it sounds impressive. I once saw a guy on that show balance a washing machine on his tongue. It looked pretty impressive to me but the judges didn't pass him on to the next round. Sad when true talent gets ignored like that. ;)
You know, I did notice that there appeared to be something UNDER the pool and wondered about that.  It seemed a little bit off the ground.

That woman with that Russian balance beam,though, was pretty cool.  She had no net.
Pretty sure the pool was on a giant piece of foam.  Still pretty impressive.

The silhouette dancers were completely different.  And I'm not much for dance, in general.
So I suppose we look forward now to a summer of kids (and adults?) being admitted to emergency rooms after trying to jump into kiddie pools?  ::)

Nah, that won't happen. Nick Cannon said to the camera, "Don't do this at home". That should take care of it.
::)
It definitely seemed to be on a foam base of some sort which was a bit disappointing.  Doing a belly flop like that, I imagine it doesn't matter if it's a foot of water or fifty feet, you're going to only go so deep once you hit like that.  Still, hitting water, especially like that, can hurt from heights and like people have said, if he hits at the wrong angle he's in trouble... unless there's a foam cushion under the pool.  I have to wonder if he wanted it there or if the show's insurance required it.

I was far more impressed by the girl who was doing somersaults off of that flexible balance beam.  I think she had a more dangerous act and one that was a good deal more interesting and fun to watch.
