Lovely old St Nick, came down my chimney and got me a delightful little Paperwhite with a purple case. Love it so far. The magnet in the case turning it on and off is really cool.  The light is mega great, size is perfect, big enough to read without strain and I can fit it in my trouser pockets.  I've been saving the new Stephen King to read on it. So that's my day sorted.

Cheers Larry.

Congratulations, Larry!  Maybe you can think of your Kindle as having a snow-colored screen!  :)  Maybe Christmas Day is the perfect time to check out the magic glow of the new Kindle.

So did anyone else receive a new Kindle as a Christmas gift?

Santa brought me a Paperwhite too!  I'm so excited!
Just ordered an Amazon cover with the Amazon local deal, 40% off the onyx.  I would have liked a color but 40% off was too good to pass up.  I like the matte black of the PW so I think the case will look great.  A big change from my colorful KK skin and cover.  Maybe I will do a front skin on the PW, haven't decided yet.
I feel so lucky that I can indulge my passion for reading with these new electronic devices and easily-available e-books.

I, too, was lucky enough to receive a Paperwhite from Santa, along with a lovely Honey Yellow case. I love the way the yellow of the border contrasts with the black of the kindle.  :)

I didn't get a PW from Santa, but I did get one with purple case for my granddaughter. I loaded it up with books for her, too. Her parents are so going to love the joke book and the tongue twister book I got her. <teehee>

I love the size and weight of it and I love the way it fits securely in the Amazon case.

Over the past couple of years, I bought a KK for my Mom and one for my GS. I'm still reading on the K1, but I'm happy with it.

I love my Paperwhite! Although it wasn't a gift, it's my favorite of all of my beloved Kindles. (My first Kindle was a K2, and was a Mother's Day gift in 2009. It was the best gift I ever received (other than those sentimental gifts that my daughters made me over the years).

Be sure to discover the feature of your Paperwhite that tells how much time is left in your chapter. You mayor may not like it, but it's one of my favorite things about it. (The magnetic Amazon cover is awesome, as is the built-in light source.)

I did! ;D I received the Kindle 4 from my mother last night. Today my mother-in-law gave me a case for it. It wasn't a surprise as I knew I was going to be getting it, but the excitement never decreased.

My daughter got one from Santa this morning. He even pre-loaded it with a bunch of books she wanted to read. He also left a case for her. ("How did Santa know which books I wanted??" she asked in pure awe!) This was the first Christmas in seven years that I haven't heard a peep out of her during downtime. Right now she's curled on the couch lost in the world of Laura Ingalls.

My mom played around with mine today and has decided she wants one for her birthday in February. She then decided that it would be an early birthday present and went ahead and ordered one right after dinner. And my son the reluctant reader, has borrowed mine several times to take a look. I think he'll be asking for one come Easter. :D

I had trouble getting my PW back off people at the "boxing day" party I went to. There seems to be a lot of people who are suddenly consious of Kindle's. Even those with iPads can see the point of somthing smaller just to read with.

It was the most "cool" object that people brought to the party.

Cheers Larry.

Santa brought me clothes, a lanyard, and a few giftcards to places other than Amazon.  Glad that I already had a PW, or else I'd have been really grumpy.
