Hey everyone! Long time lurker, occasional poster. :)

I'm doing free beta reading and free developmental edits, to get my name out and rebuild my editing skills.

The developmental edit includes comments throughout, an editorial letter for each chapter, and one for the whole manuscript. I may do complete line edits...depending on how clean your draft is.

My beta reads come with a 1-2 page editorial letter, sort of a mini developmental edit.

---

Four years ago I quit editing to write full-time. Turns out, I'm a book-a-year writer and I hate marketing.
I've come to terms with that. I like to sit with a story and turn it over in my head for a week before I write a chapter. I do good work and I see many successful authors who work at this pace. They just take (much) longer to break out.
If I must be working, I want to do something that keeps me at the top of my game. I have always enjoyed helping other authors and I'm hoping to make editing my full-time gig.

---

I've been editing since 2009 after I got my BA in English/Creative Writing. A friend in publishing was sending the odd novel for me to work on. I charged about $400 a book and paid the rent. (At the time I lived in a leaky sailboat on the Gulf of Mexico.) These days I read the odd draft for friends, but I would really like to hone my skills and try to make a career of it.

I have four books of my own: a poetry chapbook from 2010, when self-pub was new; two science-fantasy epics, about 300k words; and a 50k side-novel coming out in a month or two. They're not written to market so I don't promote heavily, but reviews trickle in and I enjoy writing them.

---

Post here if you're interested, or pm me.

I'll have to pick the books I'm most likely to enjoy.
That means fantasy will get preference.
But I read it all, so don't be shy.

Let me know which services you'd be interested in. Obviously I'll have more spots available for beta reading.

I'm a reader, blogger, and fiction writer. I'm also an ebook cover designer.

People will always judge a book by its cover. Trust me, I'm a wide reader, but I'm also selective - with so many ebooks around, I base my next selection on a couple of factors, one being the book cover.

1) The text has to be clear.
2) It has to convey the "mood" of the story.
3) It has to look clean, and not a hodgepodge of unrelated elements.

And these are exactly what I do in my covers.

I do only FICTION: Horror, Romance, Fantasy, Paranormal, YA Slice of Life, and Thriller/Suspense/Mystery

Hi, my name is Carmen and I would like to introduce you to the company I work with, Planet eBooks

We are an eBook promotion service which has quite literally been born out of a love of reading. We started out solely promoting free ebooks on Amazon but after listening to reviews and feedback, we realised that authors wanted a little more flexibility when it comes to choosing whether they sell their book for free or not. So we've changed our pricing and opened our library doors to all books, paid or free!

Our technical background is in online marketing and we have worked with a huge array of companies selling many different products and services. In our spare time we read, and we read, and we read. Combining our love of reading and our marketing expertise into ebook promotion was a natural progression when it became apparent there were so many authors out there who just couldn't get their published work seen by the right people. We have amassed a social media following of over 130,000 people across Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+, all genuine readers and writers, and it is growing daily.

I would love for you to take the time to read about our services on our website. Feel free to ask any questions or offer any feedback. We're all ears and eyes :-)

Thank you for your time.

I offer services to authors who are looking to expand their brand. I have experience with all genres, and have been providing author services for the past three years now. I have been a professional writer for over ten years and have experience working with authors who are signed by New York traditional publishing houses.

Currently I offer:

Plot Outlines ($250): Are you struggling to create a cohesive plot for your book, or have an idea but just aren't sure where to go with it? I can help. I have created plot outlines for New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Authors, both traditionally published and indie. I have also outlined the stories of authors who write for Harlequin and other big name publishers. I have extensive knowledge of story structure, and can form your collection of ideas into an effective story that will make the writing and editing process easier, and that readers will love.

Editing (.007 cents per word): I've been editing longer than any other service and have had success turning convoluted first drafts into professional manuscripts. Contact me for a quote.

Blurb ($35): The blurb is an important piece of sales copy that authors must nail if they wish to make an effective sale. I can draft a compelling blurb for your book, complete with SEO and keywords that will impact your visibility on Amazon and other retail sites.

Title Help (Varies): Titles can make or break your novel. I will use SEO and keywords to create a title and a series title for your work that will impact your visibility on Amazon and other retail sites, as well as be attractive to readers

Consulting ($35 per hour): Need a little extra help determining where to take your career next? I offer consulting services by the hour to help struggling authors determine their next steps to a successful career.

Currently I'm booking for 2019.

My name is Jeff and I am a professional freelance artist. My job is to create the best possible cover to represent your books. I have created best selling book covers, and work with many best-selling authors. Many of the books I have worked on have reached the Amazon 100 top paid books. I work to create covers that not only represent the books well, but also increase sales and inspire readers. I have worked with over 150 clients in book covers, video games, RPG, and board games. My process is personal and simple. I like to start with a Skype call to hear about the book and to get to know my clients whenever possible.

This is my promise to each of my clients:

I create original artwork. Everything I create is original. I do not use templates or start with any pre-existing art. Any photo textures used in small ways are royalty free and include no cost or worry for you.
Design & art are not only my passion, but also my vocation. I serve clients with the highest levels of service, communication, and courtesy.
I respect your time and I am committed to delivering your project on the mutually agreed upon date!

My website is jeffbrowngraphics.com and has a lot of helpful information including an explanation of my rates, process, and an about page so you can get to know me a bit more.

I'm an experienced fiction editor with a track record of proven success working with award-winning authors, both self-published and traditionally published.
I'm based in Ireland, but have a global client base spanning four continents. I'm equally competent with all variants of English, equally happy to take commissions on all genres other than religious/spiritual.
Sometimes an author is not ready to invest what could be considerable amounts of money in formal editing. Perhaps they're not sure if their book is "worth it", or whether it's ready for an editor. A cost-effective way of getting an industry-standard critique of your entire manuscript is to commission a "professional beta-read". Here, without making the copious in-line notes and comments that are so time-consuming (and therefore expensive), I read your entire MS. I'll then write a two or three thousand word report commenting on the big issues such as plot, structure, pacing, characterisation and so on. Your critique will highlight the strengths and weaknesses of your text as it stands, recommending further revision or rewriting of problem areas. It's a great, economical way to get a professional editor to read your entire book.

I don't quote prices without having seen a sample of the author's work. In my experience writing standards vary immensely from author to author and there is no one-size-fits-all formula. A quote is quick, free and with no obligation.

See my website for further details about my services, about editing generally, and my blog for useful tips, techniques, competition and award news, publisher and agent manuscript requests and other interesting news for authors.
