I was wondering if anyone has or does write horror erotica? I thought it'd be an interesting premise, but may border too much on the weird and crazy for some people to like it.
I know there's werewolf erotica and stuff, but I was thinking more towards zombies and the like.

Would anyone really read a book where zombies are out for sex as opposed to brains? And can you get away with writing erotica and then having the monster kill the person they just got down with?

I feel like erotica is supposed to turn you on and all that may be a turn off, but it still sounds interesting.

I believe the taboo is necrophilia that isn't allowed on many sites and I'm guessing you might have a hard time getting it hosted if there are dead people having sex (outside of vampires/werewolves). I've experimented with it on a critique site to mixed reviews. It's too intense for some people mixing emotions.

I'm not quite sure about the whole zombies/werewolves thing (and I've never read anything like that before), but there is plenty of dark erotica. Plenty of Fish comes to mind (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00IU9DK8C). It's marketed as "slaughterotica." People seem to either love it or hate it (I fell into the latter lol) but for a genre like horror erotica, I'm sure that is true across the board. But yes, there is definitely a market for it.

There is actually, I think, a zombie/sex book series already. I'm not sure, but I ran across it one day from one of those promotional emails. It's called "M-Day" by D.T. Dyllin. Apparently men got turned by a virus into sex fiends. No kidding. There are apparently a lot of sex and zombie violence in it.

I just read this little novella a few weeks ago:

I think it was a bit hindered by its length, as there were some interesting character dynamics that didn't really seem explored to me. Anyway, the premise is that a woman gets infected with some alien green plant thing and it makes her have sex with all of the men in her team until they all basically die.

I thought it was fun, although it wasn't quite erotic or scary. But it is an Ellora's Cave title, and I don't know if they publish anything that's really dark.

The book in my sig, Hellebone Horror, is erotic horror. It has cannibalistic sex, but it's a vampire, not a zombie. I wanted to take the concept of the vampire feeding in a sensual situation all the way. It's extremely explicit. I haven't had any backlash from it, but I can't say if enough readers have actually read it to get feedback either way.

Pretty much a lot of my stories are erotic/sensual/romantic horror, and involve some kind of feeding, transmutation, or predation. Not all of my stories have been published yet. I have a disturbing story involving an incubus coming out this year that's already written. I just haven't had the time to do final edits, cover, etc..., and I put everything else on the backburner while I work on this zombie novel (writing to market). My zombie novel is far less sexually explicit than all my other work.

I have read an amazing zombie romance wherein the feeding goes all the way. It's actually literary, profound, and poetic. Unfortunately I can't remember what it's called right now! It's in a paperback anthology I have, I'll have to look it up. There are zombie erotic/romantic books out there, like one anthology from Macmillan (publisher) called Hungry For Your Love, but I haven't had a chance to read it.

If you want to write it, go for it!
