KDP will not check NON-CLASSIFIABLE box. Help!

Hello All,

The folks at KDP seem stumped by this and I was hoping someone here would know the answer.

The categories for my book A FINE MESS are all wrong, as KDP has no way to place a book in Romantic Comedy. I flip the categories around to no avail.  This Tuesday (it is now Thursday) I decided to change the categories again.  I did so, the book was in Review until Tuesday evening and then Live.  THEN I remembered that I could eMail KDP and ask them to drill down to the categories where the book should be.  I sent them an eMail.

KDP told me to go back, remove my new categories, and replace them both with NON-CLASSIFIABLE. Simple, right?  Except that NON-CLASSIFIABLE will not allow itself to be chosen. I click the box and nothing happens.  All of the other categories are available.  I figured this was a glitch and saved my place as a "draft."

Now on the KDP bookshelf my book appears as "draft" instead of live, and 24 hours later I still can't access the NON-CLASSIFIABLE check box.

I sent KDP screen shots, showing them how a clickable link turns red when I hove over, but do not select it, and then another shot of how the the NON-CLASSIFIABLE check box did not change colors and would not check when I clicked.

They sent an eMail stating that everything on their end is working, (I'm sure they are right) and that I DON'T NEED THE NON-CLASSIFIABLE LABLE TO TURN RED. I need to check the little box next to it.

So anyone have any thoughts here?  All the other category options can be chosen except the one I need.  Does anyone think this is because I had so recently changed my categories, and maybe they are still percolating thought the system?  Should I just wait?

Thoughts Oh brilliant ones!

Your Pal,

Li

Thank you for your replies.

Elle, thanks for the bump --and I don't say that to just anybody.

Shalini--  You win the prize! It was, in fact, a browser issue. I should have guessed.  I mean, bless that dear crazy pants Steve Jobs' heart, but seriously in 20 years as a Mac user the biggest mistake ever made was "upgrading" to Mountain Lion!  I downloaded google chrome and it worked like a charm. You da bomb.

I've sent in my categories and we'll see what happens now!

I currently have four different browsers installed on my home computer (Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, and Opera) precisely because of this type of issue. Some sites just run better on certain browsers. It's ridiculous, but it is what it is.

Definitely ridiculous. I wonder if 'they' will ever straighten this issue out.
