I am talking to Polgarus about having them do some formatting for  for me. Could anyone tell me what kind of job do they do? I don't mind the cost IF they do a nicer job than I can. Are they dependable? (I've seen them mentioned by several people who use them) Do they make it look nice and professional? Use graphic scene and chapter dividers? Etc?

Thanks.

I've spent much time searching for excellent, cost-effective formatting. The end result - Polgarus Studios. They do a great job, at a great cost, very nice, professional, do anything you ask (including later requests like like deleting unwanted words, typos, etc.), and the person you ultimately deal with (Jason) - is a great guy. I look forward to using them again. In short, 10 stars!

Ditto to the above. Super nice to work with.

I use Polgarus for all my books, and I'm very happy with them. They are dependable and professional, and have a large range of scene dividers to choose from. Their base package is very reasonably priced, and you can get more customised jobs for only a small extra fee. A paperback from them looks every bit as professional as anything produced by trad publishing. Plus, they're nice people and just very easy to deal with. I'd highly recommend them.

Jason and his wife have done all of my paperback layouts. I don't even bother looking for anyone else, I just send an email to them whenever I need formatting done and let them do their thing.

I'll just agree with everyone else. They do a fine job, and Jason and Marina are easy and wonderful to work with.

In addition to doing great work, they're reliable. They tell you to expect the finished product on a specific date, and they deliver on time, every time.

I ordered formatting from them. Marina was very pleasant and answered a number of questions, but that's as far as I've gotten so far. :)

I know this is late to the party, but I just wanted to add on and say that I hired them for a book blurb. They were prompt, professional, and I think it really made a difference in downloads from my original blurb. Plus, the pricing is pretty good. All in all, I would 10/10 use them again.

We recently hired Polgarus Studios to format a book for us. We had great initial conversations by email with them. We paid them got a ebook version to review. We wanted some changes made to the ebook format. We never heard from Polgarus again. Numerous emails went unanswered and they have not refunded our money. They are Huge scam artists do not use them.

These peple are not trustworthy. On July 15, 2025, at 8:36 AM, I received an initial response from Marina Anderson of Polgarus Studio regarding my formatting inquiry. Ms. Anderson requested the manuscript for review, noting that the original file had not transmitted properly through their web form. Upon providing the requested manuscript, I received a quote of $200 for book formatting services and subsequently made payment via PayPal as instructed. Following payment confirmation, we maintained regular correspondence through July 24, 2025, during which I submitted additional revision requests and clarifications. The original completion date of July 24, 2025, was extended to July 27, 2025, to accommodate the requested modifications. Ms. Anderson also provided her business partner's contact information, indicating he would be the primary project coordinator. Despite multiple follow-up attempts on July 28 and August 2, 2025, neither Ms. Anderson nor her partner responded to my communications regarding project status or delivery. As of August 31, 2025, the completed manuscript remains undelivered, and all correspondence has gone unanswered. To verify their operational status, I submitted a separate inquiry from an alternative email address regarding a different project. Ms. Anderson responded promptly on August 3, 2025, confirming the business remains active and responsive to new customer inquiries. The project is now 35 days overdue from the agreed completion date, with payment having been processed but no deliverable provided or communication received regarding the delay.
